Help Fuses E53 4.8is (2006)

Friends

I had a store hard wire in a Next Base Duo Dash Camera. I now find that by "Hard Wire" what they actually did was to use a 'Piggy Back' blade fuse holder plugged into Fuse 5 in the glove box.

Fuse 5 is designated as "Engine Control" on the glovebox fuse layout card.

The issue I have is that I now have all sorts of 'phantom' errors appearing on the display.

Air Suspension Inactive
4x4 Inactive

If I unplug the dash camera the errors stop. I am guessing that using the ECU fuse as a piggy back was not smart?

What other fuse is good to use in the glove box please? The camera has a motion sensor for Car Park DIngs.

Cigarette lighter fuse. Power is on even when the engine is off, at least in the good ole USA cars.

My E46 is wired up that way. But they didn't use the dme fuse. I'd never do that. We used the abs fuses.
No issues. Should be able to put the original fuse in and then just move your fuse jumper to another location that's less risky.

I'm guessing that worked?

According to Crowz, fuse 7 in the glove box is ACC on. I used it myself for a usb charger. No interference or issues. It's actually the radio fuse.
