I am almost certain you are literally the only person on this forum to NOT have transmission woes Every other thread is a transmission question.

Even if every other thread was about transmission problems, we should never draw any conclusions without considering the mileage, care and the driving environment of each X5. In addition, the total number of forum members is not enough to draw any conclusions from the total number of X5s out there. I don't know about you but I haven't done that so I am not saying you are wrong. I am saying there is not enough apples to apples information here to make a declaration one way or the other. Further, IMO, there are lots of questions about transmissions because so many of us don't have experience troubleshooting or DIYing transmissions.

You can make fun of my post all you want, your logic will still be flawed.

I wasn't make fun at all. Sorry if you took it the wrong way.

I do understand that most of the time, people start threads when they have issues not success stories.

Yeah but he has been doing maintenance on his vehicle from day1. A lot of us got our X5s from a previous owner and even if the maintenance was done according to BMWs service plan its not the best from a longevity perspective. In addition I do not subscribe to BMWs recommended service intervals. Trans Fluid life time!!!, 25k oil change intervals are you kidding me? BMW does not want you to own your vehicles past warranty and definitely not over 100K. Not good for their business.
