The gear shift? They were all black on the '04s. And while those door panels look WAY beige.... that has GOT to be sunlight, yes?

I think you're seeing evening sun there. Here, for instance, the dash looks more like its true color. But the light grey doors are reflecting that warm sunlight just behind the car.

The same thing is happening to this cloud which is almost certainly not actually yellow:

There's a solid chance it was hit- or at least resprayed. The bar code is no longer present behind the plate and the tow hitch cover is missing. Solid clues not only to work, but *cheap* work at that:

This guy seems to be rolling them thru his home based car biz. Only had one review on google and it was 1 star and the poster had this in the comment about it "Only one star because you cant do negative stars. Buyer beware! "

Were skipping this one

Plenty more to go look at so far. Wasn't much available so far this year but this month there are a ton showing up.

So do I.

But I much prefer the M54 to the N52 (maintenance/reliability wise) so we went with a pre-LCI car. Besides, with the M package vehicles, VERY little changed on the exterior.

I hear you. The N52 engines are pretty good, no oil consumption issues, but difference with the water pump etc.. I had 2 128i's and they were great.
