ITunes may rock on a mac but on windows its bloated virus.

But since they kind of developed it for their own stuff and had to port it over to windows for windows folks I guess that makes sense.

Been android ever since. Again I don't hate the iphone just their computer software needed to support it.

Wife and I have note 8 phones. For music I just put all my music on a sd card and stick that in the radio. Phone is just for making calls radio wise for us.

Since we use the Soccer mom minivan more than the BMW X5 for our family trips, I really like the fact that I can connect my phone to the android radio and use the app on my phone but utilize the 7" screen in the minivan. I use the app Waze for GPS since it offer "Real Time" info on the road condition. We could be driving along and the app will tell me that there's a car stop ahead, or there's a police car .5 mile away. I can also stream music from my phone or listen to internet radio such as Iheart radio.

Don't want to really get into the iPhone vs Android debate. I'm looking for CarPlay solution, the N7 seemed promising, but the fact that CarPlay still isn't native is a deal breaker for me. The only way iLink connects is analog RCA cables?!

Wish Dynavin would make an all-digital CarPlay-Only product. Get rid of

1. CD+DVD disc player
2. SiriusXM
3. SD card reader
4. Android Link
5. Dynavin Navigation

That one I linked is just one of many to do carplay.

THIS is why I love the android car stereo and being open ended to do what you want.

Don't have a feature? There's an app for that or some cheap piece of hardware.

Newer android units like the Seicane I'm running support 255 devices best I remember PER USB PORT !

So add to your hearts content. But remember these devices take bandwidth so you can in theory just run out of bandwidth adding to many things at once but that should take a bunch of devices on a modern android unit. I don't remember what version added the usb hub support to do this. I know version 7 that's on mine supports it.

Also that device I linked is not the only carplay dongle.

Forgot one more thing the guy in the video made a few mistakes. He complains you lose a usb port but you run a hub and then plug multiple devices into the hub.

Sorry, I'm an iOS guy. Probably going to look into a traditional double-din deck. No I'm not excited about the aesthetics, but dynavin doesn't meet my needs. I'm glad it works for so many, just not what I'm looking for.

Jeff, I’m also a IOS guy but I just bought the seicane headunit. CarPlay wasn’t an issue for me, but after watching the video crowz posted I might give it a try depending on how well the Android headunit plays with my iPhone.

Are there any other additions to the N7 other than Apple Carplay and Sirius if there were a side by side feature comparison?
