No such thing as a Cheap BMW. BMW are like boats, you're happy when you buy it and happy when you sell it. They are just money pits. Take this advice from a former Boat Owner. LOL
There is one thing I don´t understand regarding the levers: why should they been replaced, if the misfiring stops after a restart of the engine?

It´s still cold and if they are worn, the would still cause misfiring.

Otherwise I would restart the engine and everyhing would be fine
