anyone save an old brake sensor- I need the clip
cleaning up brake pads and lost the little clip/spring that holds the wear sensor on. I dont think I can buy just the clip - it comes with a new sensor.
Anyone have an old one to send me, ![]() I lost the front, but I think its the same as back

You can use some two part epoxy. It never comes off until the pad is replaced

So I am not the only one that has lost it......?
Found a replacement sensor on Ebay for $2.45 (with shipping), from China - probably what a supply house would change for just the clip. Not much further than asking someone to spend 50 cents on a stamp! I want the real clip and not epoxy so its held at the proper distance AND I take my pads out a lot to clean/paint calipers and clean the guiding bolts (and I lightly grease them too even though BMW says NO)

I had just changed brakes last week but garage collection happened so no clip. I was never able to remove any sensor from a pad in the times I've changed pads they were completely corroded into place. I'd have sent my old clip if recoverable.
The groove sets the distance FYI, the clip just holds it in place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Sorry, but went through my stash of used/old BMW parts and I don't have any brake sensor. Got a couple of old wheel sensor, but that won't help you.

I will have an old brake sensor, do you need front or rear? Caveat is I won't have it ready to send until at least a week from now, planning on tackling my brake overhaul this weekend and maybe a couple evenings this week little by little -
Installing new sensors and mine haven't gone off so I presume they are usable -

I would love that, but why are you changing the sensor if its not ground/set off? I have re-used the same original sensors for the past 4 brake pad changes (I always catch it sooner than later). The trick is NOT to lose that little clip....You need needle nose pliers to hold it - get it on and it will probably jump out a couple of times before you seat it. I have learned that its best to install the sensor on the pad AFTER its all back together. You will think its going to be easier to clip it on the pad before it goes into the caliper, but it gets shifted around too much and gets nocked off.
I need a front clip, but I think they are the same as back. I don't need the sensor, just that little metal clip. look at the picture again, the metal clip is pressure held and will separate from the sensor when its removed, or stay in the caliper when you pull the old sensor out. I was reaching out to someone that might have a ground sensor and was going to toss the parts. THANKS
