Highest mileage e53

I'm just about to hit 300,000 miles.

(Combining both me and wife's).

I do hope to get over 1/4mil on mine at least. Her's has seen a lot more city miles and the wear and tear is apparent.

Dewd- I think BMWCCA needs to know ab you. It may be on the 'more reliable' 3.0, but I'd love to see some positive press on the E53.

I'm totally gonna reach out at 200k on my V8.

omg, i currently have 183K on my 03 4.4i. i bought mine a couple of years ago on auction. my question is this for you guys with high mileage, what major motor and transmission work do i need to do to keep it up to the 300K mile mark?

i'm aware of the chain guides, i'm planning on getting it done, as i don't know if the prior owner has had it done. also my transmission jerks when i drive up a hill. so i'm considering getting the transmission looked. i will love to keep this car for the next 5 years.

Very impressive, both for the durability, and timing for the shot.

Love it. When I hit 15555 recently I reset my trip to read 5.5 for the photo op. Too bad it wasn't 33°

A friend of mine tripped 101010 and was 101°
