Highest mileage e53

Post what you have.
Year, engine combo, MT Or AT, Mileage, average cost of Maint. Weather you swing your own wrenches.

These are easy to love, they look great. But owning one is borderline SM, self abuse.

211k on mine and runs good. Just cant get the wheel off to do the brakes so at this rate it may not get anymore miles on it

2005 3.0 auto

Do all my own work on it. Only way to afford to own bmw's in my opinion.

I stripped three bolts with the HF tool before I did some math and realized it was inevitable. The 3/4" bolt is too small. I have a 1" bolt I bought for $4 on Amazon and drilled out the biggest plates to fit and now my press can push 58,000# up from 23,000! So nice to press bearing right on the car.

You'll get the wheel off I promise. Xoutpost is fundental in making x5 ownership affordable. My wife & I have 2001 models and it's very helpful to have carbon copy since I can swap a key part such as a fuel pump just last week to make a stranded car operational white waiting for a warranty replacement.

2004 X5 4.4i. I didn’t perform the coolant transfer pipe or the valve stem seals.
My Indy did that. Most other work I do on it. I have 110K and it runs great.
I intend to drive the wheels off of it.

I got solid 21 MPG on a road trip last month.

2003 4.6is

196XXX miles

Bought it in rough shape almost a month ago. Currently purrs like a kitten and most everything is working. I've put around $1,500 into it doing the work myself.
