Starting problem, could use some advise

Good morning,
I have a issue with my x5 not starting. It will start, I will drive it somewhere and then it will not start 20 min later.
I drove it this morning breakfast and when I went out to start it It just made clicking sounds, like a low battery. AAA jumped it
Second time this has happened. It starts in t he morning and then does not start.
My question is this, why would it start and be driven but then not start after?
I checked the voltage while it was running and it was 13.9
when it is sitting it is 12.6
I am still thinking starter, however it is strange it can be jumped started.
Any suggestions would be appreciated

Edit - just went and checked it with Voltmeter and the battery was reading 10.8. Must be the battery
