Like I kind of eluded to before, personally I will clear my whole weekend to do this job. 1 day to tear down and 1 day to put it back together. But, I'm one man, with a floor jack and stands, hand tools, and an engine support bar.[/QUOTE]
For sure, I'm like you! Since I won't be doing the work until the weather is warm/hot, I guess I should get an engine support bar. |

I forgot to mention, I did read from someone on either this forum or another, but one guy welded the holes so that it wouldn't be a problem anymore. I'm thinking of doing this!

Can I assume that if you are just changing the Alternator you don't have to go through all that mess?

I wouldn't think so, since the alternator removal is one of the first things you have to pull off before diving into this type of job. |

no... BUT... there have been rumors on these boards that just messing with the alternator can cause this leak to become apparent. I've been lucky, but I've heard.. |
