Unless the motor is symmetrical : rotate 180° and the polarity is reversed the motor will spin the other direction.

Did you ever fix the rear door problem?

The rear doors struggling to lock/unlock is from a faulty GM3 module. It's worse when cold. If you probe the connectors for the door lock actuator a you will see on about 5v coming through.

Sounds like you car had a faulty passenger dla and a faulty GM3 module.

Hi, yes, I replaced two of the three door actuators and those doors work again now. I used Doorman branded actuators, and they both fitted fine and are still working well.

I was just too cheap to replace all three faulty ones and get the doors fully functional!

Unusual Central locking problem.. 2001 X5

It's $12 for the two motors to refurbish an actuator. Takes about an hour. I've done three so far I need to do two more. Just have enough other things higher priority to get done first.
