I don’t know shit loads about the issue but being it happens immediately as it goes in to gear I might look at the neutral safety and or the inhibitor switch on the transmission.

Could also be something in the light harness as the rear indicator lights will “blink” momentarily as you pull the shift lever from P to D. (Also making me think neutral safety switch.)
