High powered led driving lights

I thought I had posted this before and had someone asking me about it and apparently I didn't.

I had upgraded my driving lights to make up for the weak xenon headlights in my X5. Basically I shoved headlight bulbs into the driving lights

I did a page on them on my site so to keep from hogging disk space on the site here I'm just posting the link for anyone that is interested. Best $50 I have spent in a good while.

Hi Crowz,

Is this to mean that you removed the Xenon factory HID bulbs and replaced them with the LEDs or that you ADDED the LEDs to the driving light housings.

My approach has been to add high intensity LEDs to the high beam sockets and code them via the IBUS app to 45% and add similarly powerful LED bulbs to the fog light positions. This set up, even at 45% in the high beam positions gives me a very good illumination in the event my Xenons ever decide to lay down on me.

I would love to be able to run my high beams and the low Xenons at the same time but I do not have the INPA software and had amateur's difficulty following the programming you outlined on your web site.

Mike

I just replaced the driving light bulbs with led bulbs. I still have the factory hid setup for the headlights themselves.

Between this mod on the driving lights and coding the highbeams to work with the xenons its a pleasure to drive the X5 at night now.

Just send the first bit like 1.2.3. is enough I don't need the exact ip address.

I me confused. Why get ballast for this, instead install brighter bulbs? This will blind people other direction? Thanks You

There isn't a ballast on the driving lights. They are just normal bulbs. This is replacing the normal halogen driving light bulbs with led headlight bulbs.

Also they are designed to keep from blinding people as the light is shaped by design.

This shows the shaping if you chose to "clock them" to use it.
