I did a partial cooling overhaul back in 2015 with 116k miles (DIY info in forum), basically most of cooling parts except the rad. Car runs fine no rad leak, but I am - When (yr/miles) did your rad leak? - I am thinking about BMW genuine rad ($337) vs Nissens ($213). What brand is everyone here using? Experience?

I put a Nissens in mine in 2016 at 170,000 miles because the original had developed a small leak. It has been fine and is still going strong over 100,000 miles later. Don't waste your money on the genuine BMW. According to FCP Mahl/Behr is the OE manufacturer. $201 vs $702 for genuine. It's a no brainer. Especially with the low mileage you put on your X. |
