IFH-0009 / 200.159 Error for EHC Module

Went thru much drama but was finally able to get INPA/DIS to connect to other modules (i.e. Airbag, Steering Angle Sensor, etc...) than just Engine and Transmission.

However I still can't connect to the EHC module I am receiving "IFH-0009 No response from controller" in INPA and in DIS something similar 200 error.

I have checked all the fuses for EHC they are fine. Is there a relay for it as well? I'm not sure what else I can do here. I'm guessing the EHC module brain near the battery has actually gone bad. I am going to check the connection and possibly unplug / replug it but I am not very hopeful. I guess I can check the 12V power with a multimeter as well. But not sure i want to go through expense ($100 for a used module on eBay) and hassle of possibly having to code it...

Even if that somehow magically works then I still have a system with a slow leak, a faulty driver side height sensor and possibly a burned out compressor (at the very best 18 years old and weak).

At this point I'm not really sure its worth any more of my time, effort and money to fix this poorly designed system.

Coilovers to the rescue!

I feel for you for sure. I have read so many issues during the winter with the EHC system. I am glad my 3.0 came with the sport package suspension. I just don't know enough about the system to help out our members, I wish I did...

Confirmed there are NO relays for SLS:

Fuse box BMW X5 E53

Just these fuses

Front:

F57 (30A) - Suspension control module

Rear:

F79 (7.5A) - Suspension Control Module
F87 (30A) - Suspension compressor pump

I did change the battery recently. It's a long shot but maybe the suspension module became disconnected upon removing the battery. Going to check this and test power at the EHC harness.

Sounds like there might be a relay for the compressor however inside the dome housing under the spare tire according to this article:

This article also confirms the compressor part is replaceable (and is a very good resource for troubleshooting the SLS):

There's also fuses in that covered box with red cables going to it in the spare tire well. against the rear seats on the left side near the reservoir. Check those, mine had a blown 50amp.
