Oh. Didn't see that you couldn't read the module also. Well I'm on H&R springs. So there's no raising the height for me. That said it's been on springs a while now, but the light just came on a few months now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Maybe worth having a little look @ your sensors buddy, maybe a bad one or knocked or seized arm or something...you haven't had it jacked up or on a 2 post ramp or anything recently presumably?
Hope you get to the root of it as I know how frustrating it can be. |

Yeah. I initially thought that's what it was. Then I saw this post. Now I again think it might be that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I installed BC coilovers last year and have had both the TPMS and the error message ever since. I tried to disable the error message using BMW scanner but it didn't seem to work. Can you share EXACTLY what you clicked/disabled? I tried turning error messages off in the light control module but apparently that still didn't solve it.
As for the TPMS, that's interesting that you believe the ride height sensors triggered it. Being able to slightly lower the vehicle is part of the benefit of coilovers. Anyway to disable this without having to raise the vehicle?

Yeah. Kinda weird they'd tie it together like that. I mean realistically why is the ride height a trigger for the tpms if it has 4 sensors. If anything, they should have used the speed sensors as a back up. Not the ride height. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There are no TPMS sensors, BMW uses the wheel speeds as the primary sensor.

Are you sure about that? I've been made to understand that some E53s have wheel sensors. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I won’t speak for all E53’s but my 2005 4.8is does not have tire pressure sensors.

Interesting. Now I'm really not sure why mine is on then. Suspension has changed, height or otherwise. Yet suddenly the tpms light is on, and won't go out. Won't reset and can't read/detect the module. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
