4.8 is tpms light(SOLVED)

Hi guys, newbie here & I have searched & searched for a solution to my issue so go easy😁
I recently deleted the air suspension on my 2005 4.8is uk car in favour of a set of bc racing coils, I also bought bmw scanner 1.40 to delete the suspension inactive message from the dash😎 trouble is now my tpms light wont stay off..even if I clear the codes with Inpa or dis57 it always comes back on(yellow/orange) within feet of driving off? tyre sizes & pressures as suggested i.e. 2.2bar & 2.4 bar front & rear, no abs lights or anything just the tpms light, can I get rid of this anyway with INPA, DIS57 or BMW scanner 1.40?

Turn the ignition on an press and hold the TPMS button on the center console above ashtray for 10-15 seconds. The light should go out. Test drive to highway speeds and verify no light returns.

Thanks for the reply buddy but I have tried that too & it always rears it's head again usually after 60mph?

Try clearing it and then press for 5 seconds until the light lights up and then begin driving.

Since your model year should have the indirect TPS system...when you change the tires or add air etc...you should follow the simple instructions in the owners manual. No need to do multiple presses of the buttons...and even different sized tires should not prevent a reset because it is only resetting a base rotational setting. It's not like the ASC/DSC system that has preset rotational values:

If the table below is what you saw...the instructions are to press the button for 5 seconds ...not 5 times. Which is the same instructions as written in STEP 2 in owners manual instructions above except the table below lists an actual time integer for pressing/holding the FTP button.

Check the ride height sensors under the car, they trigger the light if they're damaged or sitting wrong. Maybe they got knocked when you changed the suspension....

Spot on with this mate many thanks 👌🏻👍🏻I'm a bit ocd & this was driving me nuts, turns out the car was too low & it was indeed the ride height sensors causing the tpms light to come on, I had just left the BC coilovers @ the height they came set @ from the supplier & although it looked & drove great it was too low for the sensors as yesterday I had the chance to try raise them a bit so went 20mm up allround from where they were & it's all good now😁😎

I've tried & failed numerous times to upload a pic of it as it was height wise when it was giving me trouble but all my files are too large🤔

With so many chosing to convert their suspension I think the majority are going to encounter this problem. Add the word "Solved" to the title of the thread and hopefully it will help future converts

Mine is on too.
Air is deleted and I used INPA to tell the dash not to warn me of it.
When I try to read the tpms error. It says module can't be read. Any ideas? Worked fine before i told the dash to ignore the air suspension inactive error.

As I said above my suspension was too low & I also couldn't read module with any of my software either before or after deleting the air ride but if I cleared the susp.inactive fault in EHC2 the light went out temporarily however now I've raised the car 20mm the tpms functions as it should & thats without clearing the susp.inactive error. HTH
