rear air suspension problem? Drivers rear is sitting low

Good morning all

My search-fu didn't come up with anything like what I am seeing so thought I would ask:

I just came in from the garage and had WOAH moment.. The drivers side rear is/was sitting super low, the car clearly cockeyed when looking at her from the tail. (2001 E53 btw) Regular distance tire gap on the right, clearly much lower on the left.

I fired it up, and she seemed to level herself which I think is normal, and then shut off, and can hear loud venting from both side rears, as I have come to expect as normal in this car. (its normal right?)

Is this a blown bag on the left, or something else? I am trying to find a place to start before my local shop is open on Monday.

Leaking bad or connection. I just replaced both rear bags on mine today and cleared the fault. It took about 90 minutes to do both.

Looks pretty straight forward.. ordered both rears today from 1A Auto that had the best prices I could find. Install doesn't look hard.. hassle, but not hard.

Thanks yall!

The hardest part are removing the clips that hold the top studs. I had two come off easy and the other two were a pain. My bags came with new clips.

Most of the suspension troubles occur due to bad or leaking connection. The best you could do is consult the user manual of your car and find out the troubles according to the symptoms, before you visit a mechanic for assistance.
And suppose if you lost the user manual of your vehicle, you could still get a copy of it online. Visit manuls.co and download a copy of the desired user manual at absolutely no costs.

Follow up please. I did research on this exact problem before I bought my car used with 128k miles. $75 @ I found decently reviewed part and equally easy YouTube video for install. The clips look easy enough to remove but clearly there is a trick to them you definitely want to use the right tools. Look at a few YouTube videos to see what trick works the best.

Please don't over look the mileage and age of the system. Remember, the seals in the air compressor will wear down over time and eventually fail. When replacing any components in the rear air suspension - inspect and test your compressor. There are rebuild kits for the compressor and it's worth your time if you're keeping the system. I traded it out for original springs.
