Before I start throwing parts at it....DSC module

Diag was coming back with sensor readings if my old 'man memory recall (Trifecta). Changed offending front wheel sensor. No change in trifecta. Observed over the next couple of days, trifecta does not come up from a cold start. Will come up after its been warmed up, when the car decels or stop, and every start afterward the trifecta comes up. Has been like this for a week.

Interestingly or just a fluke, but the SLS just happened to come up just ONCE yesterday - and the car was started multiple times. Have not seen the SLS in forever (I did have it when a had a micro leak in the rear bags years ago). Could never detect the hole in the bags--- only came up during winter where I suppose thermal expansion/contraction of the rubber. Since changing out the bags, never seen a SLS error. I have it on my calendar to send it in for a DSC rebuild - plan to ship it off right before we head out for Easter. Am I on the right track.

Sounds like the right path to me. I had intermittent trifecta lights occurring on my X, sometimes if even stayed off for a bit. Scanned it with INPA and got a mixed bag of weird errors from the system.

I sent those errors over to Module Master and they confirmed likely failure but that they would bench test to be sure so I sent my unit in, tested bad and they rebuilt it and now it is working like new, very pleased with the price and not needing to code it (yay!)

Debated long and hard on MM vs. BBA. Ended up going with BBA for a hair more than 1/4 of the cost of going with MM.

A man with over 1300 posts and yet still don't have his car model in his signature and no mention as to what type of X he is talking about.

Since we are loading up the part canon just shoot a transfer case servo gear/motor into the X.

Went with Module Masters. They fixed my 4.6 module up.
Works perfect. They also did my 2000 528 wagon module.
Both still working perfect.
That’s my track record.

Indeed with BBA. Not sure whether price reflects service. I googled it. BBA seemed fine for all the reading I've done...costwise they were 71% LESS than MM. Went with BBA bearing that and the X is not a daily. It's become the family beater.

For those that did homework on MM vs. BBA, any glaring reason to not go with BBA.

For the Wiki, for anyone considering BBA - as I did see some negative via google.

BBA received, repaired and shipped back out the same day.
I received it the following day (I'm 3 states over).

Cover cut looks clean and so does the sealing.
Sofar, in a brief test run, no trifecta
Best part. 71% less than the other vendor I had considered
