4.4i engine swap 2006

Ok so long story short, my 4.4i x5 had been using a little oil, doing the whole puff of smoke after idling for a while deal but I had been keeping up with the oil level in it without issues. I let me mother in law borrow it and a couple weeks later i end up with a knocking engine and oil all over the ground..



Two months later I am ready to swap in a take out engine that I got that has 94K on it (mine only has 86k). What all should I do before swapping it in? What seals? Im guessing valve covers up but is there something im missing? Just looking for a little advice from you all so I don't miss something.
