You're describing a burnt out fuel pump. You can do a continuity test if you have a meter. Unplug the pump and check for continuity. Set the meter to volts and test for a signal.
My X5 was running fine at a red light. The light turned green and I gave it gas, the engine bogged down and died in the left turn lane leaving Sam's Club. The engine would start and run for a few seconds, then die again. AAA came to get me, I pulled the pump and it had no continuity. The pump died at the light. I got several starts where the engine ran very weak, much like I am reading in your posts. If your pump has no continuity, then it is toast. If it has no power, then you lost the relay. |

So after taking down the fuse box and removing the relay and doing some test the relay seem fine, I also barrow a relay from a friend bmw just to be sure.. I also did the bypass but the relay had two 87 pin so I wasnt to sure which one I needed to connect with the 30 pin so I did it to both 87 one at a time.. still didn't hear the fuel pump come on once.. any other ideal on what to check?

So after doing some more testing I realize I wasnt drawing any power to the relay.. what can cause me not to get any power to the relay, could it be a bad pcm? Any fuses that I am missing to check?

Can any explain why the middle slot 87 right in the middle is missing.. is it suppose to be that way? Why does the relay have a prong for that slot, but the slot itself is missing

So after doing some more testing I realize I bypass the wrong pins (stupid mistake) after getting the fuel pump running after doing another bypass car still won't run right. I'm going post a link to the video of the car with the new fuel pump installed and with the bypass
Sorry about the bad camera angle not sure if I should've turn the phone sideway https://youtu.be/0IW9Lx2wgcM |
