Exclamation Trans failsafe and engine failsafe

**SOLVED**
Help!
I ran thru some water (at 50 mph)and not a minute later I got trans failsafe
And engine fail safe.
It died and I had to pull off the road, she wouldn’t restart and my obd 2 reader wouldn’t connect.
I’m gonna leave it over night and try again tomorrow.
What all is your first thought?
What should I bring with me to diagnose? (if it doesn’t just fire up)
I’m just sick. It’s been such a good car.
2005 e53 4.4 sport 150.xxx

SOLVED
When I hit what seems to be about 10 inches of water at 50 mph
It forced enough water in the ECU box to trigger the Engine failsafe prog.
I drained water from the main computer VDO box seemed to sealed.
THE FIX
Unplug everything remove the ecu, open it “small star screws” and airhose it
Use a (electronics cleaner spray to remove any corrosion due to water exposure)
spray silicone oil in to the box and Re-air hose it to distribute the spray.
NEXT
Return to the engine bay and air hose all the harness
(They hold a suprising amount of water)
Spray the connectors lightly with said silicone to repel water in the future.
That’s it!

andrewwynn will become famous soon enough
Sounds like shorted connections. Get everything dried out and I bet it comes back to life. Then find the connections with the bad seals and replace/repair
