Euro to US ?
I just wanted to find out if bringing my euro spec 2005 X5 4.8iS to the US is doable and worth the hassle without major mods? I have (as far as I can tell) the only Alpine White custom ordered around and if I bring it back I wanted to try and raffle it off or sell it for the Wounded EOD Warrior foundation. Any info on import problems/issues and whether you all think that there'd be any interest in owning the "only" factory white in the US helps or hurts chances, etc...

Unless you are looking to maintain and transfer a BMW warranty you should be ok. I know a friend who had warranty on his 2 year old car at time of move, and BMW NA will NOT work on the Vehicle until it was fully converted to US specifications for liability purposes. You should contact a US based dealership to confirm.
