Has anyone used the ebay ABS module repair option? if so which vendor? I've been having issues with my 2001 E53 5 speed ABS/DSC, lights stay on now for a while. I started by troubleshooting and ended up replacing all "speed sensors' and then moved to replacing the Steering Angle Sensor. I removed the ABS Module to inspect it, but all seems to be in order, well I could not see the board. I have read and watched some videos referring to ebay to have the ABS module sent for repair. Will anyone recommend any vendor to have it repaired or a solution to get rid of the the ABS/DSC ligts? Regards Franccesco |

I went to BBA. They swore it was repaired. Went futzing with the car for a good bit. Gave up. Bought a Brand New Module. Viola. YMMV. Should have just bought a new module from the get-go.

I went with BBA too and worked well.
For my other car, bought used ABS module from local wrecker and coded to the car which worked well too. |

Same issues as you here, but I replaced the speed sensor with some cheap ones and the trifecta is still there...
So, I just sent my ABS module to CheapABS last week. Came back this week with a note that "No Fault Found" and a refund (minus the shipping). So, I am gonna buy 4 BMW speed sensors. Hopefully that will do it. I have not replaced the steering angle sensor. Found this really good video for where it is and how to replace it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rckQyUf00xI If the speed sensors don't fix the issue I'll try that next. my experience with abs module. the ebay repair shop i used was a waste of money. i ended up pulling one out of a car at the junkyard and using INPA to program it to my car.
if you buy a new or used one, you will need to program it. stealership will charge you a fortune to program it. |

Do you have a write up or link to how to program the ABS with INPA?

My module went out 2 weeks ago. Found an o2 X5 same package at the yard. Pulled it, plugged right in and calibrated the steering with GT1 and all good now.
