How many liters does a E53 4.4 tranny take in fluid?

About 7-8 litres for a fluid change (excluding the torque converter).
It's something like 12 litres for a full flush (not recommended, btw...) *edit* I'm assuming a ZF 6HP26 transmission as in the LCI 4.4i - not sure if the amount is correct for the earlier ZF 5HP24 transmission - but it's probably close.
