Isn't BM54 European version?

I've had the module out several times and it's definitely a BM54. Are the BM53 and BM54 interchangeable? Perhaps a previous owner swapped it.

I have a BM53 around, but wont have access to it until the 30th. If your car has a BM54 that is VERY odd.

UPDATE:
So I guess I'm losing my mind. I was 1000% certain my X5 has a BM54 radio module. I even have photos of the damn thing. Well, I pulled it out yesterday and, lo and behold, it's a BM53. So, I actually need a BM53 module!
