Not TIS, but the website you posted is
DIS software is this: https://youtu.be/Q7lUqPF4peY I don't know if it works on win 10 64bit, most likely have to install an XP VM for DIS |

I guess you could run a late (meaning paid not free) version of VMware Workstation on Windows 10 and then run the SCO Linux VM in that but I wouldn't try running an XP VM on Win10 then running a Linux VM inside the XP VM... that would not work. The easiest DIS to get up and running is EasyDIS V.44 - there's lots of info on this out there. But you need some pretty high-level computer skills to get this going, unless you get a fully configured setup from someone (laptop, cables etc., all pre-set up).

I wanted DIS because it runs through all the modules when you start it up. and i can use it to calibrate ride height and etc. Last edited by donmayor; 10-11-2018 at 04:30 PM. |

I managed for nearly three years with just INPA but finally bit the bullet and got DIS up and running so I could do my xDrive fluid change.
Took me about two or three weeks of goofing with DIS to finally get it going - maybe a total of 10-15 hours in all. And I'm an I.T professional.... But in my defence, I hacked a setup together using bits of software and hardware I had on hand - it cost me $0 and is a totally non-standard solution. It's a diag-head-less solution - it seemed that adding in the diag-head complicated the setup and only gave some rows of pretty coloured "lights" in the DIS display. DIS seems to report a few things that INPA doesn't but the communication with the modules is similar. The big advantage with DIS is the ability to run the service jobs, like the xDrive fluid change, steering sensor calibration etc.
