3.0i engine modifications

I own a 2002 X5 3.0i and i wanted to know what kind of engine modifcations are available. I was hoping that i am to get a supercharger. If anyone can help me out, that would be great.

You can do software exhaust and intake to the 3.0. But if you want to supercharge it just move up to a V8. its cheaper

IMHO, it's not worth modding these things. For the amount you spend (which will be a lot), gains are VERY minimal if anything at all. Even if you get 10hp (which will cost you waay more than even $1000, it won't feel too different bc of how heavy the X5 is.) Even you get a software upgrade, engine output doesn't go up. They're basically damn good from the factory. My .02.

Get the V-8, you will just throw money away tweaking a 6

Guys I know it would be more practical to get a V8...but wouldn't it be fun to pull up next to a V8 in a Supercharged I6 and surprise them!!!! I wonder how the supercharged 3.0 X5 would do...I know ESS makes a sc for the 3.0 and they claim 335 HP DIN (whatever DIN is) and 0-60 in 6.4 sec (auto, 6 manual) I'm only talking fun factor here, not practicality or cost...but here is the link
