Introduction

I'm glad to be here, just purchased a very well maintained '05 X5 with the 3.0 six. 290,000 miles, original motor and trans. no major repairs (yet!). I live in the tidewater area of Virginia, USA. Looking forward to helping where I can. I've done a lot of work on my own cars. Mostly Benz for the last several years. Looking forward to hitting the half million mile mark with my X5!

Thanks, that's good to know. Right now I'm having the fuel pump professioinally done. I should have checked first but not knowing how easy it was I had the indy do it. He is also closing the tilt function of the panoramic roof and turning off the airbag light. All to the tune of about $800...
I have a Foxwell NT510 on the way. I had one for my benzes and a iCarsoft and they worked well. I'm supposed to have it back Monday afternoon. I generally trust this indy, but they are expensive...

Welcome, best forum for e53's in my opinion.

It's great to see one running with almost at 300k. Proof how well engineered they are.

Thanks Mr. Robot. I look forward to seeing 300,000 on the odometer! I'll post a pic!

Just as an informative aside, I previously mentioned I have a Foxwell NT510 on the way. I have seen prices all over the map for this scanner. I bought it on Ebay, direct from Foxwell for $137 shipped. The auction was for $149.99 or best offer. They accepted my offer of $137. I gain nothing by sharing this! Only trying to help out my fellow man... or woman.
