Bad soft brke fuel pump?

My fuel pump is making a noise.

It also makes the rpm jump or goes back and forward at idle.
Not always but it does.

I just rented a fuel pump tester from my local car parts, but it does not have a fitting for my car... I will probably borrow one from work and look at the PSi then... So do you think this noise is normal or the pump is going south? The only reason I am looking at it is because of the noise and the RPM dance at idle.

Bad soft brke fuel pump?

The rpm bounce is a clear indication of end of life. Were that my car I would have a pump on order. I'm saying the speed of the PUMP changing not the engine. They could be related but the pressure regulator should be able to supply constant pressure with minor hiccups from the pump
