Over Thanksgiving, that's it. Only other thing is I had the leaks fixed from the world's worst welder a week and a half ago.

It is entirely possible that the computer's expectation of cat efficiency will never be met by 200 cell units, no matter what. BMW worked hard to get the emissions down on these vehicles (3.0 is ULEV, not sure about v8s) by using what I can only assume is a high platinum and paladium-loaded matrix, mounted very, very close to the head.


They light off faster and the catalyst is very effective.


Uncatalyzed post-combustion hydrocarbons are smog-forming and carcinogenic, FWIW.

For whatever reason now, my check engine light is off. So I may change them to a bigger unit at some point down the line.
