"All this talk about junk in the trunk carrying a spare fuel pump in the back pocket " has left me pondering

My 2019 resolutions is to not put any more PM parts but I swear, my ju-ju is telling me I should at least keep a coil pack on hand. At 145K and I'm on original except for maybe 2.

What camp do you fall in for coils. I've treated these as fail or no fail.
