Schmiedmann Exhaust for the 4.8iS

I really want to try out this exhaust system, use their x-pipe and mufflers but it's only for the 4.4.

I think the reason being is because the 4.8 is staggered where the pipes meet the mid section. It's about 1.75" longer on one flange than the other.

So just their x-pipe won't work w/o modification. But if I get their x-pipe PLUS the exhaust/muffler, it should technically fit the 4.8is correct?

The pipe bends should all be the same?

Not sure but the 4.4may also have smaller diameter pipes than than the 4.8

Do you know the size of your tips? Are they 3.5"? Been toying around with quad tips for my 3L and found a 2.5" single inlet to 3.5" dual tip...

I really can't justify dropping the paper on a Schmiedmann cat back system but I do like the quad tip look. Keep in mind, I have the M54 engine and found a member from a few years ago with these Yonaka tips. They are 3.5" out and I just wonder if a 3" outlet tips would be more aesthetically correct for the M54.

That right there is 100% on your personal opinion. I do think that the quad tips set up is better looking than the single one on the 3.0. I went with the Schmiedmann because of cost and is basically a super sprint with the added resonators before the mufflers, that I had removed when they arrived home, I am pleased with the sound and aesthetics. I don't think you can find cheaper one of this kind of quality.
