Rear Hatch Popping by Itself

Is there a fix for this?

(tried to use search function, kept 404 ing)

There is a relay above the subwoofer in the back. Make sure it is seated all the way.

Had this issue a few years back. Made sure the relay was snug, and the issue went away.

If that doesn't work check the little plastic L under the rubber switch cover as sometimes it will override the micro switch making it activate with any bumps etc.

Don't know about X5 but in E83 X3 vehicles, the fault is in the corroded circuit board above the license plate lights.
