Cant find part - battery bracket bolt
When replacing the battery, that long screw/bolt that you tighten the battery bracket to keep it in place. I stripped that, and currently just have a piece of plastic wedged in place to keep the battery from moving in the battery tray. Currently no issues but I'd still like to get it replaced correctly. I don't want a loose battery cable

I'm 99% positive that it is the same item used in other BMW models (as well as pre-facelift e53s)...try pulling up any of those models to get the 11 digit BMW part nbr. I used the e53 X5 4.6is for the link and diagram below (I use BMWfans.info because you can actually copy their diagram's URL address...realoem.com doesn't allow it).
 It appears BMW has changed the mounting screw's part nbr multiple times...and the last one doesn't have a "date range" in the supplemental column...you can verify by clicking the link below for the following part nbr: 61 21 7 577 620

That's great to know qsilver. When I've posted diagrams I usually pay the realoem link or copy the screen and use a photo editor to crop out the info desired, paste as new image, upload, blah blah blah. Bmwfans is much more convenient. Learn something everyday here!
