Repaint or Plasti-Dip Trim?

So I am considering removing and painting various parts of the trim to bring some life to my X5. The windshield wiper arms are starting to get rust spots from paint chips and are all around faded. The same can be said about the door trim and roof rack... figured I could go around the car and pop off what isn't gloss black from the factory and give it a few coats.

What are your thoughts?

What door trim do you have ?

Replace wipers (it was cheaper for me terms of time/labor)
Rails I debated between PC and paint. Went OE satin and cleared. Been good.
I have not put thought into it but methink maybe the rails are not cleared and is considered ~single stage~ paint , and hence that is why they oxidize...

Oh, Damn. Those things would look *awesome* in a high gloss clear.

Dammit.

I believe the roof rails are anodized or some type of e-coat not paint for sure.

I do have access to a paint shop. Would you recommend removing the rails for painting to minimize over spray? Will sand down and repaint the Wiper arms. The trim is all black for the time being.. the only chrome is the badging and the kidneys in the grill. Standard for a gloss black X5 I think.

I painted mine and put a clear coat on it. It looks exactly like brushed aluminum
