Brake lights on. Dash indicator lights no flash-sound. Cruise light on. Brake warning

E53 2003 iA Sport M62 With the key out of the ignition, I get the following: 1. the brake lights stay on 2. headlights stay on 3. green cruise control light on in dash 4. brake warning light on in dash Key in position 1 and 2, brake lights go off. Dash cruise control and brake warning still on. The dash indicator lights stay on and no sound when indicators turned on. left and right I have disconnected the battery and will leave overnight. Any help in troubleshooting appreciated. I have read many threads here but all have slightly different faults. Some point to a wiring fault, brake sensor, wheel sensor, brake switch, LCM. Where would be the best place to start? Thanks for any help
