Recommendations please for rear LED’s

Folks

2006 e53 4.8is

Apologies here if this has been asked. I’m after some recommendations with part numbers for the rear light/bulb replacement LEDS? Specifically I’m after the, turn, brake, fog & side lights. I want (if possible) to replace the existing bulbs with LEDS.

I’m told it can be done without a degree in lighting technology or rewiring the entire car. I’m hoping to achieve this with an ERROR FREE set up?

Many thanks in advance and apologies again if it’s a repeat question.

The main problem is the run/brake that uses one filament at different brightness. They could have LED that do the same but I've not seen them.

Looks like AutoZone has Sylvania replacement leds for most of the rear lights of not all. I personally haven’t tried them yet but now that I’ve looked I may give them a go. Being recommended replacements I would assume they would be error free or they probably wouldn’t sell them. Check these out:

I wouldn't count on that... but let us know how it goes. The adaptive braking is usually the problem with replacing those in the late models. I have LED signals in the rear turns and, paired with resistors, work extremely well.

Totally hadn’t considered the adaptive braking you may have a valid point there.

Mines an 05, can’t say I’ve ever noticed any change from soft pedal to “slamming them on”, how can I tell for sure if mine has adaptive breaking, or if it’s simply coded off?

You won't notice the adaptive brake lights unless you're behind the car looking at your brake lights. You won't feel any difference in the pedal.

Your '05 should have adaptive brake lights - it's standard on FaceLift ('04 and up)

You’ve got me curious now, I’ve tried it up against a wall and didn’t notice any change, I’m going to have to stand behind it now and have my wife “panic” break driving away from me.

I think the adaptive lighting feature is tied to the activation of the ABS (braking..).

Well rats! That one I don’t really want to test... I can see it now, “hey honey, I’m going to stand here on the corner and I need you to drive past me going about 35 and then slam on the brakes”

I’ll take it on faith their there and working

Thanks guys!

It's pretty easy to get the ABS to go into action - just hitting the brakes hard on a wet road is all it takes... a steel bridge joint helps!
