CCV bulls#&t again
So, after installing a new engine last year after a ccv fail and engine detonation, we're at it again. Driving today and suddenly a cloud of white smoke when accelerating. Shit car off and looked under oil cap...tons of moisture. Started again and a ton of white heavy exhaust came out. Restarted several minutes later, all is fine. Plenty of oil but lots of mayo under cap. Just ordered the ccv delete kit with catch can from Turner Motorsport. Plan to have my Indy go through system to make sure engine is ok then install kit. Anyone have experience with doing this and if it will solve this issue once and for all? Errrr!!!

Spring is coming
Only solutions are: Frequent oil changes (Oil HOT) Oil separator update Long drives (More than 25 at Hwy speeds) Remove oil filler cap after driving to prevent moisture accumulation. DON'T FORGET TO REINSTALL Afterwards!

All good suggestions.
And at risk of sounding like a broken record, clean out the dipstick return channel that drains the CCV. As in, remove the dipstick guide tube, and thouroughly clean the crap out of the small channel in the MAIN TUBE that returns oil to the sump. It's not enough to clean the small elbow; in my experience, that just pushes crud further down. Or consider fitting the cold weather dipstick.

The price sucks, but it looks promising. I hope to go this route although the weather here makes it much less of an issue. But the mayo problem is crazy real when it is remotely cold here. and not Ohio-cold. just 40-50 degree NC cold. https://www.germanautosolutions.com/...ct_m54_ccv.php

I can vouch that the cold weather stuff only alleviates the problem, it certainly does not solve it.
