I rolled 315's with no flares for something like 6 years on my 3.0. I'm gonna run 'em again- and flare-less- on the 4.4. Cause, well... I like them big meaty grippers hangin out the side.

Kinda makes me think of an old stud bull... .swingin' left to right..

Makes me think truck nuts when I see stuff like that. Reminds me of the truck owners who run the mega wide wheels in the rear with super low offsets so they stick out 10" past the fenders. Not my bag.

Agreed. Now I need to buy spacers for when I have the Winter setup on.

Well, I don't remember that the 315's looked *that* wide, but I do remember that they were more pronounced on the regular rear valence and flare-free arches. I even added spacers to the 4.8is so they'd stick out that much *further* than the wheels alone. I gotta have a pic of those things on the 3.0 somewhere...

Edit: Here we go- this is a good shot meant to show another adventure, but you can see the wheel width pretty well.
Lookin for these also made me remember why I never did flares on the 3.0- despite my preference against them. Don't you need the 4.8is rear bumper to meet the flares? They'd look pretty silly if they just ended at the bumper. Am I thinking ab this right or can you actually order lower flares to meet the arched wheel flares?
Here's a shot of a stock 4.8is with 315's and flares. Even though I only recently became a stance gnurd, they need spacers to my eyes. You guys? (Oh, and don't get me started on Estoril LCII- Lawdy ) So, where does it end? Add flares to cover the rubber, but then spacers to push 'em out? I mean, that's what mine has now, and I *love* it. But I don't think I'll start the path with the white one.
Here's another shot of a 4.4 with 315's on 87's. I gotta tell ya.. I *like* it. I can't wait to get mine in and mounted:
All of this made me wonder, Emory: Are those wheels in the stock offset? I don't really *know* if my 132 replicas are or not. Perhaps they don't stick out as far bc of that? Anyway, I finally found Bridgestone's newest tire for the 20" 132's I have. They'll be the 1st set I put on. Steamrollers, here we come!

Revisiting this thread with the pics of my 132's on 20's. No flares and just the meat I like!
