4.8 engine - E60 Bentley Service Manual

Hi - Iíve got a 4.8 and the E53 Bentley manual I have has almost zero info on the n62 engine. Is the e60 bentley manual any good re engine info (chain guide, valve train, vanos etc...)?

Many thanks!

I know thereís lots of info on here and Pelican Parts have some good pictoral step by step guides too (although no torque settings - and while Iím relatively handy, Iím not a professional and so donít have the feel for correct tightness etc....) - and NEWTIS is also pretty good - but wondered whether the E60 Bentley manual would be a useful purchase for engine work - as I can source a new copy for about £50 (but wonít ever own a five series!).

Thanks!

You just need to look at the 5 and 7 series Bently manuals concerning the N62.

It's all there

Ah thanks for this. I can get a new E60 Bentley manual for around £45 - but donít want to buy yet another manual which claims to cover the engine but doesnít! Was pretty pi**ed off when I received my e53 manual and saw it only covered the m54 and 3 litre engines in any meaningful detail.

Thanks again.
