It always pays to double check
The specs on the KO70640 I found via O'reilly's was an EFFECTIVE LENGTH of 1627mm. RealOEM specs the 4.6 with a 1623mm belt.

Gentlemen,

Thanks so much for the information. It seems that the continental belt is a 1/2 inch shorter than the Gates belt and to be honest that 1/2 inch might make the difference. and make it tighter on the pulleys... I cant measure the belt I took off as it snapped and melted around the crank shaft pulley.
