Pulled the hose from TB again - new rubber ring was cracked
Not out of the woods yet, but this is promising. I will road test tomorrow and find out what else is going on. John

I think they are the same. Foxwell private brands the Schwaben version. If not, my experience is with the Schwaben. I don't use any other scanner. I like it because it is very intuitive and very little learning curve. When driving I use the Torque Pro app which is much easier to use driving because it connects by bluetooth.

And today - no crank, no start?! JFC
So today I was prepping for a road test, but the ECM and a couple of relays back in the holder, but the air cowl back in place with the 4 plastic rivets, went to Fire it up - nothing, no fuel pump noise, and the starter isn't even engaging. Voltage is fine. Lights come on, key works for opening doors.
The relay 'clicks' when you turn it over, fuses in glove box are good. What in the actual hell is going on guys? I'm really at the end of my rope here

With the bright lights on and trying to start the engine do the lights dim? Have you checked the battery voltage with a multimeter? When the key is on are the dash lights on? Since it would at least run before the work check your work.

EWS issue but not sure if that interferes with fuel pump. Feels like a main relay out.

EWS or Relay
The battery has been on charge the entire time. The relay 'clicks' when you turn it over, but the starter doesn't engage, nor do I hear the fuel pump - but this is brand new.
However - before, even when it did start - the 'engine failsafe' and 'suspension inactive' would come on the MID, but no 'check engine' nor any codes... Starting to wonder if it is in fact the EWS/ECM - any thoughts on this?

Checked the ignition switch
Watched a YouTube video on it - with a multimeter, I confirmed voltage is being supplied to the starter, checked the fuses for the immobilizer, also good. I guess next step is to check the voltage at the starter motor, and if that is good - Relay, or likely my ECM/EWS is fried?
With my E53, can I reprogram my existing one with Rheingold? I can't do any programming with K/D Can cable - do I need an ICOM cable to do so, or should I use DIS?
