I would use a purpose built app for one reason: reminders eg xx miles to brake service or oil change. Even though in principle I follow the "by the liter" interval of the computer sometimes I go past or early.
I have an app "car minder" but it apparently has a bug that you can't move your years of data to a new phone. (no cloud storage). I just downloaded simply auto just now https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/simp...893278325?mt=8 Has the most promise of the apps I've researched.
