Reinstalling Air suspension setup 4.8is
Purchased a 2006 4.8is last month. had lots of maintenance done including the transmission rebuild.
one of the items addressed was that the air suspension was removed completely and bilstein HD shocks and springs were installed at a total of around $1000 in parts according to the receipts. I received a large box of air suspension components including all 4 corner parts, some large long silver compressor? and a bunch of air lines etc... previous owner states nothing was wrong with it but it was replaced as a pre emptive move since they had heard people had air suspension woes. they could be honest they could be not, im not sure and i will look into testing all of the components individually to see if they are operating properly and if they are ok then i wold very much like to reinstall the complete system as im extremely partial to OEM components especially on a system such as this that sets vehicles apart from others. im very familiar with coding and use software such as NCS Expert, INPA, ISTA P/D along with PASoft for other small basic quick things. i'm extremely well versed with OEM retrofits and I love taking challenging tasks. i was just curious if anyone had any advice on a reinstallation of the system and how hard it will be considering most people remove the system these days if anything. i have not been deep into the guts of this platform so right off the bat ill have to dig into TIS and see what the entire air system look like but would love to hear some other peoples thoughts that have been in and out of the air suspension system a lot. thanks! fwiw heres a link to my hobby car that I currently have.
