I like to browse fcpeuro and see what they suggest for OE or OEM.

I agree.. and they only sell OE (BMW) parts...
Does anyone know who the manufacturer of the solenoids are?

Possibly VAICO. It's the only brand I bumped into and they are 75% the price of genuine. That being said for about 80% off I would be wilking to test the knock off on Amazon since I can make a before and after plot of their responsiveness with my foxwell.
The system is not as finicky as the cam sensor which I would only use OEM. The other cost effective solution is used. A pair for $60 eBay also worth a gamble especially if you can know the mileage on the part. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I never use anything other than OE or OEM parts. The exception is if there is an aftermarket part that is known to have better performance or has corrected a 'questionable' design of the OE/OEM part.
