k3nnyq3 is on a distinguished road
4.4i auto e53 5th gear anomaly.

Quite a short story. 5th gear, around 50kms/h, does this slip thing over regular intervals. Feels like it drops out of gear and then immediately goes back into 5th. Trans doesnt give out any codes. Only 5th gear, no noises or anything else, just the tiny slip.
Ive replaced the common culprit plastic gear in the tranfes case actuator but the old one was still good, just evenly worn over the years. Is there anything else that is easy to check and do before I have to dive into some more expensive stuff. Trans was also serviced about 500kms ago and didnt change anything in its behaviour.
