Power Dip After Solenoid Cleaning

Hi all. Simply put, I just finished cleaning all four of my 4.4i’s solenoids. I also cleaned the MAF. When I took it for a test drive I began experiencing major power loss during acceleration. As in, it would drop for a moment and then pick back up. I can’t tell if it’s at around 2k rpm or when I depress the pedal to a certain point. I’ll be scanning for codes tomorrow.

Has anyone experienced anything like this. What could I be missing? Or could try? Thanks to all. (p.s. let me know if I can provide more info to help “diagnose” the issue).

Do you have a scanner with real-time data to read the requested vs actual cam positions?

I do, yet that won’t be necessary in this instance. I went back to check things over and found that I hadn’t pushed the MAF sensor plug fully in. So it was unplugged! Now everything is working fine. I must remember next time to double check everything before closing the hood. Thanks for your response

I did the same thing after cleaning mine and wife's MAF.

I plugged hers in. Forgot mine. Doesn't help performance much

Right! Well now to clear the “service engine light”...
