Smile E53 2004 Heated seats retrofit

Hi everyone! Newish member here, thanks for having me on!

Sorry to bring up this subject again as I’ve seen so many but I’m still in no better position with my heated seats retro fit :/

I don’t think my 2004 3.0D was set up for heated seats but I could be wrong...

So I went to buy some second hand seats and the guy said let’s fit them while your here to make sure they work, so we fitted them and swapped over the dash buttons too and only the passenger side button lit up, after a bit more trying the lights were intermittent and the guy said he would swap everything back without an issue so we did just that thinking the seats were defective.

Since then I have bought another set and the switch panel off eBay.
This time I have nothing 😑

So I read about the bus wire jump from the radio which I have tried and nothing.... I’m starting to think the BMW breaker may have lied to me because he said they were definitely heated seats and tested before removal.

Any ideas where I should go from here?
Fuses are present and I think from what I’ve read the correct wires are too?

There should be a separate wire from the bottom cushion to the wiring connector block under the seat. I believe the wires are in a black sheath.
