Take that compressor back! It's an absolute piece of crap. I had one. First off it has to be the noisiest compressor I've ever seen pr owned. Secondly, it will kill the cold start valve. It's a known defect. Call tech support and they'll tell you that you can buy them on Ebay. Third, it eats reed valves like they're going out of style. I dumped mine after replacing the reed valves four times in a year. Another known defect when you call tech support. They'll tell you that you can get those on Ebay as well.

Bought this one: https://www.harborfreight.com/29-gal...sor-61489.html

Yes, it's more expensive, but well worth money. I've had it over a year. I've got around 30 hours on it (it has a Hobbs meter) with zero trouble.

Dump the one you bought and pony up for the one I bought. You won't be sorry.

I modified my valve.

So far 5 years...

It’s definitely a sketchy compressor.

Your cold start valve or your reed valves? After I replaced the POS cold start valve with a good one I never had another problem with that. The reed valves? Ridiculous.
